I would like to say beforehand that I am just talking about any kits that include the rod in the new practice PvP on Gamster.

Greetings, Im a very experienced rod player. Way over half of my time (in Minecraft) I play Classic, BuildUHC, FinalUHC, SG and Skywars (everything rod-related) on (mostly) Minemen or PvPGym, with my account zXonix or 02_ZeroTwo_02. Even on BuildFFA on Gamster I was one of the first rod players at all and still am. I could say that I am surely one of the best rod players on the entire server. If you want some proof, here:

    So what is the problem?

The are 3 things that went extremly wrong with the new update:

    1. Firstly rodding reduces now the duarbility of armor. Why did the staff thought this would be a great idea?! I had already on day one countless matches where people just ran and rodded you until your armor broke, then pushed you. Even if this would be punishable staff cant always be there to fix that. And there is no joyful aspect why you should give players the opportunity to use such tactics to make the pvp community even more annoying/toxic than it already is. Practice should be there to PRACTICE, not to run, rodding them 300 times and waiting before there armor breaks. With that practice would fail its own meaning.

    2. The second problem would be the new hit regeneration. Why is that a problem? It makes it nearly impossible to play rod professional. Most players dont use the rod anymore and just run at you and punch you until you die. In theory, if you have a good rod player, this shouldnt and cant work. The rod is a part of pvp because it is extremly useful to hold of enemies to give them a hit after rodding them. It is like a sprint reset. But now: if you rod them a few times and try to give them immediately after that a hit, it wont work, because of the new hit regeneration. But your opponent who doesnt know how to play rod at all, just gives you those hits back. And Im not even joking. Compare the hit regeneration (including the rod of course) on Minemen or PvPGym with Gamster. It is a huge diffrence. Especially for experienced rod players who have a faster (most would say "spam") playstyle. Not even "rod crits" are working anymore because of that because the hit wont register and those are usually a big part of the rod pvp! Just please undo the hit regeneration, it was good before you made this update. No other practice server has such a hit regeneration.

    3. The third problem is a rather small thing but still important. I just saw that the rod can be thrown way further and more straight. Most people would say: "Great thing!". And in all honesty: yes, it is nice, if not even OP! But maybe just for good/experienced players... You can rod players now from much further away which can be annoying and too OP (if not game breaking, even in BuildFFA for example) for new/less experienced players. So that can scare them away. It is no secret or theroy that players get overwhelmed in a demotivational sense if a player like me comes to them and give them from a 20 block range 10 rod hits and with that a sword combo after that. It is just too much. Also: no other servers has such a weird rod API so I see no reason why it shouldnt be the normal rod API before the practice update, it good how it was, it was just like on the other servers.

Gamster clearly wants to to hold up to really good pvp servers like Minemen and PvPGym or Gomme.net, even getting inspiration straight from them. And that is clearly fine! Those server mostly do their work right and are for a reason popular and well respected. But that is also because they know how the community wants to pvp! And if it comes to the rod I think Gamster should remain on their course and go back to their original rod gameplay. The new API, the reducing of armor duarbility with rodding and the new hit regenration is killing rod pvp. I can even give the Gamster staff good reasons why to change back on that: People might leave to play those gamemodes on other servers (like me) because you cant practice the rod well on that server anymore. If you want to practice the rod on Gamster and want to play for example SG (or any other rod-related gamemode) on a diffrent server, you are screwed. Because then players will realise that the majority of the community has a way diffrent way to play rod (speaking from the servers). There are even more gamemodes who need rod like the OG bedwars or Eggwars which are quite popular on other european servers like in the czeck community. When people realise that it has no use to play those gamemodes at all on Gamster because it is way too inclusive, they will stop playing those on Gamster or quit entirely.

In all honesty: I joined this server for the BuildFFA and because I have an unbreakable love for rod (in FFA). But now I dont know if I have even a future on this server anymore. Take care!
