Block Fight
Hello everyone,
I'd like to suggest a new Practice gamemode called Block Fight. It combines the fast-paced combat of Boxing with the strategy of Bed Fight, creating a unique PvP experience that rewards both mechanical skill and game sense.
Gamemode Overview
- First player to 50 hits wins.
- Players spawn with:
- Sword
- Blocks
- Shears
- Falling into the void does not end the match.
- Every time you knock your opponent into the void, you receive +10 free hits toward the 50-hit goal.
This creates exciting fights where players must decide whether to chase combos or use blocks strategically to secure void knockbacks.
Key Strategies
Block Hitting
Block hitting reduces incoming damage while helping you trade hits more effectively. It also provides an alternative to W-tapping during close-range fights.
Head Hitters
Use blocks to create head hitters or trap your opponent in tight spaces, allowing you to gain combo advantage and land multiple hits.
Combos & Movement
Good movement is essential.
Players can:
- Reset bad fights with blocks.
- Cut off aggressive opponents.
- Create new paths.
- Extend bridges.
- Escape combos.
- Force better engagements.
Why This Should Be Added
- Introduces a completely fresh Practice experience.
- Rewards both PvP mechanics and strategy.
- Appeals to Boxing, Bed Fight, and Bridge players.
- Creates intense, fast-paced matches.
- Has a high skill ceiling, making it enjoyable for www.gamster.org and competitive players alike.
Final Thoughts
I think Block Fight would be a fun addition to Practice 1.8.9. It offers a unique mix of mechanical PvP and tactical block placement that isn't found in most current gamemodes.
I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts or suggestions for balancing the mode!
I also have one suggestion that could make the mode even more competitive:
Instead of automatically giving 10 free hits after a void knock, consider displaying a message like "Void Bonus: +10 Hits" and instantly increasing the player's hit counter. That makes the reward very clear to both players during the match.
Overall, this is the kind of gamemode that feels fresh while still fitting naturally into a 1.8.9 Practice server.
